Nasser Nduhi was born and raised in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. After completing his early education in Goma, he pursued higher studies in the United States, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Northwestern University. His academic and professional journey has been driven by a strong desire to use engineering and innovation to serve communities in need.
Professionally, Nasser has worked on large-scale infrastructure projects in the U.S., including major railway and transportation developments. His expertise spans construction management, structural analysis, and research in cutting-edge technologies such as 3D concrete printing. He brings to his work a mix of technical rigor, creative problem-solving, and a deep commitment to social impact.
As the Founder and CEO of Chora Congo, Nasser provides strategic leadership for the organization. He defines the long-term vision, sets program priorities, and leads efforts to build partnerships and secure resources. He also supervises the executive team and represents Chora Congo in key conversations with donors, institutions, and community stakeholders. Under his guidance, the organization aims to equip young people—particularly secondary school students in Goma—with entrepreneurial and leadership skills that empower them to become drivers of change in their communities.
For Nasser, “Chora”—which means “to draw” or “to trace” in Swahili—symbolizes the power of youth to shape their own future. Through Chora Congo, he envisions a generation of young leaders who are not only dreamers, but builders and achievers.
