Human Capital: The Heart of Our Mission
Our "Washa Ndoto" campaign is in full swing to fund the next cohort of 112 students. This financial support is vital. However, the true impact of Chora Congo is measured by the human guidance we provide.
A sponsored student needs supplies, but even more, they need a guide.
That is why we are launching an official call today to find the two pillars of our program: Mentors and Volunteers.
Becoming a Mentor: The External Mirror
During our first session at Zanner Institute, our students explored their "inner mirror" to discover their strengths. The Mentor is the "external mirror": a professional who listens, questions, and shares their experience.
We are looking for professionals, in Goma or in the diaspora, ready to dedicate a few hours a month to:
- Guide a young person in their project.
- Share their experience of "Grit" and perseverance.
- Help a young person see "Not yet" where they see failure.
Becoming a Volunteer: The Driving Force
For mentors to mentor and students to learn, a logistical machine must run. Our volunteers are the driving force of Chora Congo on the ground.
We need passionate people to help us:
- Organize workshops and events.
- Coordinate communication with schools.
- Manage the logistics of "Demo Days" and meetings.
Impact is a Collective Work
The future is shaped together. Money lights the dream ("Washa Ndoto"), but mentors and volunteers are the ones who guide it toward reality.
